Description of Event

Battlefield


Large 18th-century American and British military camps feature nearly 200 soldiers helping set the 1777 scene with tents, campfires, cavalry troops, musket and cannon firings. Discuss the challenges of camp life with soliders, officers, and camp followers; go on a “reconnaissance” party with soldiers; learn about army food, sewing, and cooking techniques. Event presented in partnership with the Brigade of the American Revolution.

  • Camps open Saturday, 10am to 5pm; Sunday, 10am to 3pm
  • Tactical demonstration Saturday afternoon, time TBA
  • Wreath laying ceremony by Daughters of the American Revolution and Sons of the American Revolution. All are welcome! Sunday, 2pm
