Biking and Running at the Saratoga Spa State Park

The beautiful state park offers miles of looped trails as well as roads lined with pine trees-perfect for running and biking.  Spa park also offers certified running courses used by joggers and high school and college athletes.  Stream-side trails have much to offer the naturalist or casual hiker.

Distance And Terrain

There are a wide variety of walking and hiking trails. The 12 miles of trails offer flat and mostly gentle terrain for easy walking.

Highlights And Key Points Along The Route

The natural springs, the only natural geysers East of the Mississippi, foot bridges passing over the stream, warming hut and Frendell pavilion

Leashed pets are welcome.  Feel free to contact the park for information about upcoming races for runners.

The Saratoga Stryders Club, a group of enthusiastic runners based in Saratoga Springs, holds weekly running workouts open to the public.  Wednesday nights at 6.15: workouts starting at the Olde Saratoga Brewing parking lot located at 131 Excelsior Avenue.   Saturday mornings at 9:00am: recreation run starting at the Saratoga Spa State Park Warming Hut.  Between 50 and 70 runners attend the weekly workouts.
