The mission of the Clinton County Historical Association is to collect and preserve the historical material pertaining to the history of Clinton County, New York, and to interpret and celebrate through exhibits and programs the county's rich history. The museum features displays of paintings, prints, documents, textiles and tools as well as artifacts significant to the Revolutionary War's Battle of Valcour and the War of 1812's Battle of Plattsburgh. One unique way to take in a view of these historic struggles is to check out a diorama of the two battles created by the artist Arto Monaco, which is housed in the main first floor gallery.

The Monday Night Lecture Series features speakers on topics related to North Country history and is offered free to the public on the first Monday of the month at 7 pm from April through December. For more on programs at CCHA visit www.clintoncountyhistorical.org
