Lock C-7

Lock C-7 marks the end of the mighty Hudson River and beginning of the calm artificial channel towards Whitehall. The lock is located 7 miles north of Lock C-6 and just south of the Fort Edward Yacht Basin (the free terminal wall). The lock lifts boat ten feet, from 119 feet to 129 feet above sea level.

Services Offered

Ft. Edward Yacht Basin located nearby with free tie ups, electric, showers.  Short walk into town for restaurants and supplies.  Picnicing, Fishing

May 1 - May 25 - 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

May 26 - Sept. 7 - 7:00 am - 10:00 pm

Sept. 8 - Nov. 15 - 7:00 am - 5:00 pm

TOLLS, PASSES & PERMITS

All motorized recreational vessels passing through any lock or lift bridge on the Canal System must purchase either a Seasonal Pass, a Ten-Day Pass or a Two-Day Pass. Information on fees and how to obtain a pass can be found at http://www.canals.ny.gov/exvac/boating/bctolls.html or by calling Canal Corporation Headquarters (between 8:00 am – 4:00 pm) at (518) 436-2799.
