The history of North Creek is rich in "river, rails and ski trails" and mining. Much evidence of that history can be viewed and experienced in today's world as well! Greg and Sharon Taylor fell in love with the area (and each other!) in the late '70's as ski instructors at Gore Mountain. Their love of the outdoors of the Adirondacks is integral to their success in the hospitality business- first as former owners of Friends Lake Inn (from 1984-2004) and more recently as owners of the luxury lodge called The Fern Lodge, on nearby Friends Lake.
Stay with us at The Alpine Lodge and experience the rich history of the region!
This is a great central location of the Adirondacks to experience all sorts of outdoor activities; downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, white water rafting, hiking and more. Walk to and from the train (Saratoga-North Creek Railroad).
