What Is Distinctive And Authentic To The Character Of The Region

Amidst the calm beauty of Washington County's unspoiled countryside, you'll find Steininger's in the 150 year-old brick store at the heart of the village.

Relax at a table in our family-run cafe while we serve you your choice of mouth-watering soups, sandwiches, entrees, desserts, and the finest chocolates this side of the Atlantic.

A meal at Steininger's is a celebration for all the senses. One visit will start a tradition you won't want to break.

Enjoy Luncheon or Tea with us...The variety of our selections will surprise and delight you.

Here at Steininger's, homemade soups are a specialty and can be meal in themselves. Hungarian Mushroom and Creamy Tomato Basil are popular favorites.

Our sandwiches are served on freshly baked croissants. For our entrees, we will tempt you with such dishes as Chicken Curry over Rice. Or you might try Bratwurst with fried potato, bacon and onion.

If you're here for tea, discover Queen Adelaide's favorite sandwich or perhaps Raspberries Linderhof, ice cream with our own Hot Fudge in a puff pastry crowned with crimson berries.
