Stony Creek's Dude Ranches

In the late 1800s and early 1900s, extensive logging was done in Stony Creek, but after many of the hemlock trees were taken out, the old logging camps closed; after World War II, these camps found new lives as dude ranches that brought a sense of the Wild West to the edge of the Adirondack wilderness.
